Realistic painter of landscapes and interiors was born in 1865. He is the cousin of Belgian painter and printmaker Jan Stobbaerts. Education at the Brussels academy (1879-1890, J. Quinaux, J. Portaels). Shows with the Union of Arts and is co-founder of the Kring Voorwaards (1885), is chairman of Le Lierre and a member of the art circle of Laeken. Painting in Brabant, Flanders, and the Netherlands.
