Bernadette Bawol was born in France in 1945, but is classified as a British artist. She has been an artist for most of her adult life. Previously focused on drawings, she started to concentrate on oil paintings in the 1980’s when her children were grown up. She now works only in oil and has developed a very personal style made of precision, warmth, realism and personal atmosphere. She has lived for several years in Holland and the contact she enjoyed with native Artists and Masters gave her a Dutch influence that is particularly strong in her game and still life scenes.
She presently lives in England where she has grasped the wildlife and countryside atmospheric beauty while working alongside her brother, Andre, a talented wildlife sculptor in his own right. Bernadette’s work has been successful in France, Holland, Italy, UK and most recently the USA. She has exhibited in galleries in England and in the USA.
